Since Harrison ran out of steam on his post, I transcribed what he wrote about the church visit at school to wrap it up:

Hørsholm church is a very big place. On the inside there is a long book called the Bible. It is a book where the Christians read. There is also a big ship hanging on the ceiling. An exciting thing is we got to see the robot that controls the clock. I loved the church and all the things. We put our bags in the main area. The doors were huge. All things are big. The church is 200 years old like exactly 200 years. It is a very old church as you can see. The church's bell rings every hour. There of course is a cross on the roof. It's a white church. The curs is for very important stuff.

At the beginning of November, his class visited the Hamad Bin Khalifa Civilization Centre and Mosque, where he had the opportunity to see what a mosque looks like on the inside, to learn how Muslims pray, and to see the different areas that men and women come to pray.

Basically, it's a religious place. Fun Fact: more boys visit than girls. That is why one room is smaller and one room is bigger. The bigger room is for the boys because they go more. In the mosque, they pray to any of their gods. Before they pray, they have to take little showers. They also have to wash their hands a lot and have certain towels to dry. Then they pray after getting clean. They pray by kneeling and bowing down and touching their heads to the ground. That's all I can remember.

  1. Thanks for your blog on your field trip. Field trips are always fun and informative. I am a non denominational Christian, but I find it interesting to find out about other beliefs.
