 EXIT POINT DAY!!!!!!!!!

Exit point day is on Friday march 15th. We are going too dress up as story characters. we will bring treats inspired by books.

I am bringing chocolate chip cookies with mustard / icing that is yellow which is in Super pigs.

In art we made story masks of story people or animals. I made Kai from ninjago.

We moved the tables so I am with my best friends Hamza and Rasmus.

Most of us brought books from our home country. I brought, larry gets lost in Portland. We got the book from Portland at a book store called Powell's. we were there because Uncle Matt was getting married to Vanessa.

We did it! We bought a house in Denmark. It's all ours! And, oh man, has this been a wild ride! There's a short version and a long version, so I'll write the super-abbreviated version first, and if you want to come along for that aforementioned wild ride, you can keep going beyond the summary! The Barber Visitors, 2025 (and Our Summer Holiday)

I can't express how much we love visitors. We love seeing familiar faces, and we love sharing this amazing country with the people we love. This June, we got not one, but  two  sets of Barber visitors! First, Nate and Maggie arrived mid-June. We picked them up the same day that we sent Harrison off on his school trip, so we actually had a couple of kidless days to hang out. The first evening was very casual. We went for a walk through the forest near our house and out to the lake. The baby swans were out with their parents! On Day 2, we walked Nyhavn to Amalienborg (the royal residence), cruised Kastellet, saw the Marble Church, ate at Gasoline Grill, walked to Broen and got Aperol Spritzes, wandered Christiania, took a canal boat tour, and ate dinner at Pico Pizza before heading home. Here Comes the Sun!

It's so nice outside!! Even Kaden remarked how much better and happier the sunshine makes you feel. There have been some signs of spring for a couple of weeks now: little vintergækker  (snowdrops) are springing up everywhere, trees and bushes are starting to leaf out, and the sun is blinding us almost daily. I've resumed my bike rides to work (on days I don't have to show up early for lab work), Zac is jogging in the afternoons, and Harrison is busy outside quite often. Even this precious cat is back to her sunny-day adventures! Zac got the windows all clean and clear, so the light really comes in nicely all day long. Yay for spring! * * * Danish classes are coming along. We are approaching the end of Module 3.4 (only one more to go after that!) - we take our exam at the end of May. We discuss equality, danish culture, music, family dynamics, and all kinds of other topics as we develop our language skills. It helps round out our vocabulary and speak conversationally. Unfort...
